Snow Days

Tuesday’s expected snow came yesterday. Josue and I ran a few errands and then went to Gas Works Park to play in the snow. The errand running part of our day is funny because Tuesday when it didn’t snow at all, Josue didn’t want me to leave the house because it was “too dangerous.” It’s also funny because I think it’s much scarier to drive while it’s raining and dark, which is something I do everyday for about 7 months out of the year. But yesterday, when it was actually snowing, driving seemed like an okay thing to do.?Gas Works was more crowed and cold than expected. We didn’t stay long because 1. we’re from Florida, 2. our gloves were crap, and 3. we don’t own proper snow footwear.

Last night we went to see Handel’s Messiah (Josue’s birthday present) at Benaroya Hall. We thought it prudent to take the bus instead of driving and after the show, though we waited for the bus for 14 minutes in 27 degree weather while a meth addict puked 8 feet away from us, we decided we made the right choice after seeing 4 cars on one street get stuck in the ice.

Today roads are icy so work is canceled AGAIN. Actually, I’m pretty bummed about this only because I know I’m going to have a super stressed out faculty members and slow printing services when I get back.
