About
My name is Nicole Blanco. I?m married to the hilarious Josu? (or if we are in Florida, Josh). He couldn?t sleep properly until he made me my very own website, so ta-da! We are both native Floridians (though my formative years were spent in Virginia Beach and for that I am thankful), but now reside in Seattle, WA with our beta fish, Magoo. In all aspects of life except family, Seattle is home. We love everything about our including the amount of money we throw out each year between January and April on therapy to combat SAD. Not really, if we were able to pay for therapy we would talk about why Josu? constantly starts television series he knows I want to watch without me and how that proves he doesn?t love me.
We are both currently graduate students. He?s working on his M.Div at Mars Hill Graduate School and I?m getting my M.A. in Teaching at Seattle Pacific University. Being a teacher freaks me out, but it?s what I?ve always wanted to do. Here?s to chasing dreams. I also work at SPU and bring home my pay for love. Being a 21st century working woman is great, but sometimes I wish Josu? was the bread winner so I could stay home, watch Ellen, and clean the house because God knows I love to organize and clean.
Some people think that blogs are narcissistic and I a little bit agree. But with the internet these days, what isn?t? Have you seen Facebook? The main reason for my blog is to share with family and friends (especially those 3,000 miles away) the daily things in life that might slip through the cracks even with regular communication.
My dream is to educate women and children in Africa during my summers and also to travel the world.
